Glamorgan opened their three-match pre-season tour of South Africa with a comfortable six-wicket win over Uganda in a 50-over contest at Potchefstrom.
After being put in by stand-in skipper Mark Wallace the African side were bowled out for just 107 after being put in to bat.
Young seamer John Glover claimed 3 for 14 in his five overs, while fellow seamer Chris Ashling and spinner Nick James both took 2 for 13.
There was also a wicket on debut for former Derbyshire left arm seamer Graham Wagg.
Despite losing openers Wallace and Will Bragg cheaply, Glamorgan then knocked off the runs inside 30 overs. Left-hander Gareth Rees top-scored for the Welsh county with 46, while Mike Powell hit 29.
Glamorgan’s next match is against the North West Cricket Union on March 21 followed by a game against the North West Invitational XI on March 23.
